Saxophonist Jan Klare belongs to the top. Furthermore, his extraordinary powers of observation and reaction make him one of the world's most creative band inventors. In numerous projects initiated by Klare, he has enriched the international jazz scene over the past three decades. In this context, he also founded RKeT a good 10 years ago as a trio with the Dutch bassist Luc Ex (The Ex, Four Walls) and the American drummer Michael Vatcher.
The music of the ensemble cannot be categorised: in a mixture of jazz, punk and improvisation, RKet has retained a vitality to this day that makes every concert a unique live experience.
After his return to the United States, Vatcher was replaced in 2017 by Dutch "shooting star" Onno Govaert, whose extroverted playing puts the band in a different light once again. RKeT is complemented by the exceptional violinist Julia Brüssel, who is currently preparing to shake up the improvisation scene between Berlin, London and New York.
