The Berlin-based Norwegian artist Camilla Steinum (*1986 in Oslo) prefers to work with materials, forms and objects of our daily use, which she condenses into installations and assemblages from which new contexts and effects unfold. Her focus is always on an emotional connection to these objects and a physical experience of space.

For the Westfälischer Kunstverein, Steinum develops a new site-specific installation that takes up the influence of objects and spatial experience on memory and mnemonic techniques. Via a fence-like architecture she transforms the Kunstverein into a parcours that integrates further sculptural works.

An artist book will be published to accompany the exhibition.
